Over 100 members and guests of the Australian Business Group Oman joined the celebrations in the Intercontinental Hotel gardens under the sponsorship of Bank of Beirut. Attendees were treated to the sights and sounds of Australia, as well as indulging in a variety of Australian delicacies.
Mr. Zambarakji, CEO of Bank of Beirut- Oman extended his warm wishes to the Australian Community in Muscat and around the world on their National Day. “With branches all across Australian, we at the bank feel almost Australian ourselves.” Commented Mr. Zambarakji. “This event just reinforces our commitment to a long and productive relationship with ABGO members. We are proud to be associated with such a professional group and look forward to further strengthening the links between us.”
Chairman, Ms Susan Rae, welcomed the guest of honour, Australian Ambassador Dr Ralph King, as well as nearly 50 Omanis who had studied in Australia. She said, “We love to meet up with the Alumni, and to reminisce with them about their time spent in Australia. They enjoy rekindling old friendships and to again share their memories and experiences.”
