Bank of Beirut Conferred Traffic Week Trophy

In recognition ofits support for the Traffic Week Initiative, Bank of Beirut was awarded with atrophy handed to Mr. Ramy Zambarakji- CEO, Bank of Beirut Oman- by the AssistantGeneral Inspector for the Administration & Financial Affairs at the RoyalPolice, Major General Suleiman Al Harthy, in an official ceremony on Wednesday,16th March.

One of the Sultanate’s mostsuccessful traffic safety campaigns, Traffic Week encourages responsiblebehaviour among different segments of society, so that all road users respect roadsafety rules in line with the highest international practices. It includes activities and initiatives aimed at deepeningtraffic awareness and making it part of a culture that positively reflects the government’sefforts to reduce accidents and traffic violations.

The trophy recognises Bank of Beirut’sdeep-rooted involvement in helping raise people’s awareness in traffic safety issues,whether in limiting accidents or decreasing the mortality rate. It endorses the bank’s support for a new culture of safedriving that enhances the promotion ofresponsible traffic practices and safedriving habits.

In his acceptance address Mr. Zambarakji commented, “We are proud tomake traffic safety an integral part of our social investment programme. Itreasserts our commitment to meaningfulcommunity development initiatives across all aspects of Omani life.” He continued, “The tragedies precipitated by preventable traffic mishaps affect us all.Our aim is to protect Oman’s mostvaluable resource – its people – by working to reduce fatalities and seriousinjuries resulting from road accidents.”
